Are you looking for in-person NVC learning opportunities in 2025?

A few weeks ago, had the opportunity to facilitate a short session on handling conflict at work for the Ishk Tolaram Foundation team.

I knew that they were engaged when I heard one participant say, "Nooo! I don't want to miss the breakout room!"

The camaraderie and the warmth this team shares was palpable, and it's very clear that this is a team that's built on the foundations of friendship and psychological safety.

Here's what some of them said about our time together:

💡"I am leaving with more clarity. I love how you presented the framework."

💡"I'm leaving with an awareness of the importance of communication during disagreements. No more avoiding conflict!"

💡"I learnt how important it is to listen and hear the other's point of view, not just consider my own."

💡"I learnt about the importance of going back to my needs - and how this can give direction in conflict situations."

💡"I leave with a reminder to myself to not undermine my own needs. They matter too."

Building a culture of empathy at Suchitra Academy, Hyderabad

Last year, Suchitra Academy, a school in Hyderabad, invited me to share the basics of Nonviolent Communication with their teachers before the beginning of their school term.
And this year, they committed to taking this deeper: by offering a learning journey in NVC to a core group of teachers and leadership, to build a culture of empathy in the school.

It’s been a delight working with these teachers and I’m looking forward to continuing this journey, and to support them in taking this to their colleagues and students.

Watch the video with reflections from participants of Suchitra Academy after the workshop last year.

On a lighter note…
